About the Workshop

Don’t miss the opportunity to attend the annual Patient Safety Workshop on Tuesday, 16 September 2025. Take the time to tune into this prestigious event, hosted by ACEMs Quality and Patient Safety Committee. The event is being hosted virtually – allowing all members and trainees across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand an opportunity to attend or watch the sessions online after the workshop. This is a great opportunity to hear from experts about success and challenges in emergency care, the increasing factors contributing to these outcomes, and how to develop teams and cultures that result in a safe emergency department. Back by popular demand will be “The Stories that Stay with Us”, “Under the Microscope: Avoiding Adverse Events in a System Under Pressure”, “Mental Health Presentations in the ED”, “Trainee Focus – QI Initiatives” and more. As a fully online experience, attendees will benefit from improved accessibility and flexibility, including access to content on-demand after the workshop. Eligible ACEM CPD participants can also record the hours taken to complete the workshop against their annual CPD requirements. The final program will be completed in early 2025.
