Anthony Tzannes
Rockingham General Hospital
Professional Bio
MBBS, FACEM, FCICM
Anthony graduated from UNSW in 2000 and has since worked in numerous hospitals across Australia and New Zealand while training in both Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care. Aside from a brief cameo at Royal Perth Hospital ICU, he has spent the past decade at Rockingham General Hospital, working across both the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
At RGH, Anthony developed and directed the RAVE Course—a two-day airway and ventilation course designed for critical care trainees—with the support of like-minded colleagues from ED, Anaesthesia, and ICU.
His professional interests include resuscitation, airway and ventilation management, and the role of human factors in these areas. During his training, Anthony realised he didn’t have the mental bandwidth to take on a third specialty in Toxicology.
Outside of work and teaching, Anthony enjoys spending time with his family, ideally outdoors.
