Haere Mai | Welcome
On behalf of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM), we are proud to invite our emergency medicine colleagues and whānau to the ACEM Aotearoa New Zealand Emergency Medicine Conference 2025 in Tairāwhiti Gisborne Wednesday 12 March to Friday 14 March. The working group is bringing together a charismatic and provocative collection of speakers and leaders in emergency medicine exploring the diversity and depth of this year’s theme - Manawaroa. We in emergency medicine are no stranger to resilience, endurance, fortitude, and grit that manawaroa represents in topics spanning the impact of artificial intelligence in our clinical practice, to innovative approaches to prehospital care, to the devastating consequences of global climate change affecting access to emergency care for the most vulnerable communities whom we serve. Please bring your whānau to explore Gisborne’s pristine beaches, world famous surf breaks, award winning vineyards, historical landmarks, and breathtaking tramping trails. We look forward to discussing cutting edge topics in emergency medicine in the context of our turbulent world in the spirit of manawaroa.
